Introduction
Welcome to DK MOTORS LTD. By accessing our website, www.dkmotorsltd.co.uk, and purchasing vehicles from us, you agree to adhere to these terms and conditions.
Eligibility
- Users must be at least 18 years old to use our services or purchase vehicles.
Information Accuracy
- We strive to ensure the accuracy of all information on our website, including vehicle descriptions, pricing, and availability. However, we do not guarantee that the content is error-free and reserve the right to change information without notice.
- We commit to truthful and transparent advertising
Vehicle Purchases
- All viewings and test drives are by appointment only.
- Customers can inspect vehicles at our premises and take test drives, provided they have a valid driver's license for insurance purposes.
Vehicle Deposit and Reservation Policy
- Deposit Requirement: A non-refundable deposit of 10% of the vehicle's value is required to reserve it.
- Reservation Period: The deposit reserves the vehicle for 7 days, during which it is marked as "Deposit Taken."
- Exclusive Reservation: The vehicle is exclusively reserved for the depositor, preventing other inquiries or sales attempts during this period.
- Final Payment and Collection: The remaining balance must be settled, and the vehicle collected within 7 days of the deposit.
- Refunds: Deposits are non-refundable unless the vehicle is unfit for purpose
Pricing and Payments
- All prices are fixed.
- Payments can be made via BACS or bank transfer and must clear before the vehicle is released.
- Customers should ensure they have sufficient funds and necessary card security devices for payment processing. Fraud checks may delay transactions.
Finance
We are not FCA approved yet, so we cannot offer direct finance. However, we can introduce you to finance through our broker, Choose My Finance, with whom we work closely.
Documentation and Warranties
- Upon full payment, the V5 document is transferred to the customer's name via GOV.UK. The V5 will arrive in the post in approximately 7 days, with proof of confirmation provided to the customer's email address.
- Vehicles come with 12 months of MOT, servicing, and a high-standard quality check. Service history and any repairs made will be documented.
- Vehicles include a 6-month AA warranty, which does not cover wear and tear or human error. The warranty includes 12 months of free AA breakdown cover. Please note that activation is required, and this process takes 48 hours via email due to the risk of fraudulent claims. Customers have the option to upgrade their breakdown recovery at their own expense; terms and conditions apply. Warranty coverage depends on the vehicle's age and mileage, with AA offering three levels of cover, which can be extended at the customer's expense. DK MOTORS LTD will not be responsible for breakdown recovery at any time.
- Warranty Claims: Claims must be reported to the AA, and the vehicle must be taken to an AA-registered or VAT-registered garage for diagnosis. Any vehicle taken outside of the U.K. will have its warranty voided, as our warranties cover only the U.K. and not Europe or other regions worldwide. Failure to follow proper procedures may void warranty repair claims. We do not cover any transportation costs for the breakdown or recovery of a vehicle purchased from us. Do not attempt to fix issues before seeking professional advice from the AA or the vehicle dealer. We will never authorize any sort of payment directly to another garage or customer for a repair. Proper procedures must be followed before any repairs or payments can take place.
- Customer Responsibility: Vehicles must be checked regularly by customers, as human error can occur over the course of usage of a second-hand vehicle. In instances of mechanical failure due to issues such as a lack of oil or water causing the engine to seize, any faults that occur must be addressed immediately. The vehicle should be transported to a mechanical workshop and not driven further, as we cannot cover further damage caused by neglect or human error
- All vehicles are HPI clear, with reports provided. If a vehicle has any adverse history, it will be clearly disclosed.
Returns and Refund Policy
- In-person Purchases: Vehicles can be returned within 30 days for mechanical faults, excluding wear and tear. Customers must prove the fault existed at the point of sale. Returns incur a £250 admin fee for warranty cancellation and V5 transfer, plus £2 per mile for excess mileage and cleaning charges starting from £100.
- Distance Purchases: Payment must be made by bank transfer (BACS) before the delivery of any vehicle. All paperwork will be completed immediately and sent to the customer before receiving the vehicle, along with an additional video of the vehicle and a picture of the mileage dashboard. Customers can return vehicles within 14 days, subject to a 10-mile test drive allowance, with excess mileage charged at £2 per mile. Customers are responsible for returning the vehicle at their cost. Similar admin and cleaning charges apply as for inperson returns.
